Day 80: Health and Fitness

Wow, the week is flying and today is already Wednesday. I’m still going along with the plan and I’m planning what I will eat for my birthday supper. I will eat anything, but not go crazy…c’mon it’s a few weeks away….a guy can dream can’t he? I had a nice walk with the doggie last night and slept quite well, thank you.

Day 79: Health and Fitness

Yesterday I made a comment to Don Reisinger about corporate honesty and how to get out in front of something before it turns into a big deal, especially if something is wrong. I had to get out in front of my personal appearance and health earlier this year. Starting June 1st, I was 50 pounds overweight and now I weigh nearly 27 pounds less than I did. When I started, even the tying of my shoes was a difficult chore; now not nearly the problem it once was. I was eating way too much, in simple terms I was a glutton. I reduced the amount and in some cases the type of food that I eat and the weight started falling off of me. it was a simple plan of eat less and walk more.

So today I can say that I was honest with myself and that is the reason for this blog. Honesty is a precept given to us by the Lord Himself and I wanted to be within His plan when I noticed that I was covering up my dishonesty with bigger clothes and more food.

If you are reading this and wonder. That is my revelation. Be honest with yourself and others in all of your dealings. In your personal life & public life. It’s always a good policy.

Day 78: Health and Fitness

Monday and the new work week begins! We have a fairly light schedule this week for bids so I will be able to get in front of several projects. Yesterday was a great day in church Brother Thomas Acute from Nigeria spoke and we did a new worship song, Every Day is Sweeter, that was great. Had a nice walk last night with Chiquita and stayed on program.

Day 77: Health and Fitness

Sunday morning and I’m and preparing for worship. I just love playing the bass and praising the Lord. Still with the program at more yesterday and took two walks of 45 minutes each. We watched the Civil Forum Presidential Candidate interviews with Pastor Rick Warren last night. Barack Obama & John McCain both comported themselves quite well.

On with the preparations for worship!

Day 76: Health and Fitness

Saturday and after many flight/luggage delays Colin is home! I didn’t walk yesterday due to the heat and my obvious laziness. Still ate on program as best as I can tell. On the tap for today, simply installing the new printer on the network. Let’s see just how painless it can be.

Day 75: Health and Fitness

Thursday! One more day until Colin returns. Still on program, though is it difficult to walk with the heat, but if you wait until the sun goes down it is a little more doable. Yesterday I got a bunch done at work and will continue today. We did get another contract and for that I thank you Lord.

Day 74: Health and Fitness

Wednesday and 2 more days until Colin returns. Up early again, but slept through the night. I’m still with the program and temptation was strong yesterday when someone brought in KFC for lunch. I had one drumstick and stopped. No potatoes & gravy and no biscuits, I really wanted it. BUT. I. DIDN’T. LINGER. I had a nice walk last night with Chiquita. It’s 4:30, lets get this day started!

Day 73: Health and Fitness

So it’s Tuesday and we are getting the heat back. Walking has to be done later when it cools but is still being done. The program is starting to really show to others as they are noticing my weight loss. That is very gratifying. Now, off to work.

Day 72: Health and Fitness

Monday and up earlier than normal. Yesterday, at church, we had Pastor Jackson Senyonga fromĀ  Uganda speaking and leading us in an evening prayer meeting. I played in the morning and the evening and I’m tired a little as I was wound up when we got home at nearly 10:PM. Still on plan, but didn’t get to walk yesterday.
